GLOBE SPRINKLERS

GLOBE UPRIGHT SPRINKLER 155*F

The GLOBE Upright Sprinkler 155°F is a durable fire protection sprinkler designed for upright installation, activating at 155°F (68°C) to deliver efficient water distribution for effective fire suppression in open or obstructed areas.
  • Temperature rating: 155 °F (≈ 68 °C).
  • Connection / Thread size: ½″
  • Maximum working water pressure: 175 psi (about 12 bar).
  • Hydrostatic factory test pressure: 500 psi (about 34 bar).
  • Materials: Frame often bronze; deflector brass; bulb seat copper; spring nickel alloy; seal Teflon.
  • Orientation: Upright installation (i.e., sprinkler is installed with deflector above the thread, intended to spray upward then outward).

The sprinkler uses a glass bulb (or ampule) filled with a fluid that expands when heated; when the glass breaks at the design temperature, the water discharge begins.

The upright style is often used in fire sprinkler systems where sprinklers are mounted to pipe with the deflector above the plane of installation (rather than pendent with deflector below). Ensure compatibility with the installation orientation and system design.

GLOBE SIDEWALL SPRINKLER 155*F

The GLOBE Sidewall Sprinkler 155°F is a quick-response fire protection device designed for horizontal installation along walls, activating at 155°F (68°C) to provide efficient and uniform water distribution for reliable fire suppression.
  • Temperature rating: 155 °F (≈ 68 °C) for this model.
  • Rated working (water) pressure: up to 175 psi (~12 bar).
  • Hydrostatic test pressure: around 500 psi (~34 bar).
  • Thread size / connection: ½″
  • Orientation: Sidewall style (horizontal or vertical sidewall variants)

The sprinkler uses a frangible glass-bulb heat activation mechanism — when ambient heat around the head reaches the temperature rating (155 °F), the bulb breaks and water is released through the deflector.

Sidewall orientation means that the sprinkler is mounted on a wall rather than on the ceiling (or pendant/ upright). This allows water to be discharged outward from the wall rather than downward from above.

The 155 °F rating indicates it is suitable for typical ambient environments where ceiling or wall ambient temperatures remain well below the activation temperature.

GLOBE PENDENT SPRINKLER 155*F

The GLOBE Pendent Sprinkler 155°F is a reliable fire protection sprinkler designed for ceiling-mounted installation, activating at 155°F (68°C) to provide uniform water coverage for effective fire control and suppression.
  • Temperature rating: 155 °F (≈ 68 °C).
  • Typical connection/thread size: ½″
  • Working water pressure (max): ~175 psi (~12 bar).
  • Hydrostatic factory test pressure: ~500 psi (~34 bar).
  • Activation mechanism: Glass bulb (frangible) filled with fluid which breaks at the rated temperature.
  • Style/orientation: Pendent – meaning the sprinkler is mounted such that the deflector is below the fitting, spraying downward.

The pendent configuration is ideal where sprinkler heads hang downward from the pipe into the room (ceiling mounted) and the deflector sends water downward and outward.
